Oh, what a story. I've got some pics to see. I'll post them later but it's nothing that any home improver wants to see. There are dead pipes and electric lines draped over copper pipes. Rats nests in the cavities. Termites and wet/dry rot. I will not be deterred. Though it will take 4 - 8 weeks to get the cabinets. Then 4 - 8 weeks more for the counter tops. I'll need some of that time to repair the wall and floor. Oh what a mess. |

I'm a sucker for a good project. A friend of mine wanted a her xbox controller to have the functions of a thumb stick to be reversed for some games that don't allow software control of these actions. Of course this progressed/digressed in to a full modded controller. |

To update the status of the big dig. After finishing the wall, I buried the cable visible in the other pictures. It was my satellite internet cable. Also I dug out the trench to run the conduit that will carry the power to the tub. This wasn't too big of an issue using the pick axe. Though the fine tuning will be with a small hand spade. |

The weather page is still here. In the side menu there is a link to the full weather page. You can also book mark http://deadgekko.com/weather.html. In the top menu there is a different weather link. This one will keep you in the site and will have the same information at some point. I'll be updating both places as I get a chance. Hopefully the sites weather will be more useful than the full page but time will tell. |

DIG(my bad pun from "Stir of Echos") Here is the chronicle of the hot tub. Most people get a hot tub slap it on a patio and maybe hire an electrician to get it running. Well as usual that's not the case here. Months in the making... Upon finding a great deal on a used hot tub I now had to figure out where to put it. We didn't want to put it on the second story front deck. That would have just been temporary and would have required a crane. I need to drive in the drive way so that's out. I didn't want to hike out behind the barn either so that was out. That left this nice little place off the back porch to put it. The problem was the 45 degree slope. Future location of the hot tub.
