I can't beleve I have neglected this for over a year.  Now it's not due to lack of things going on.  On the contrary too many things have been in the works.  Lets See hare are some hints.

Version 0.1 alpha of the desktop cnc machine.  Here is some output prior to the z axis completion

First Run Output

This is the final 0.1 setup

First CNC setup

Oh and I had to make a cat suit dring this time.  Now not that kind of suit.  I wanted to replace the cone that the vet doc required,  so this is what I cam up with.

Cat Suit

No he's not dead.  Just sleeping and hateing the overcoat.  But it did work till he figured a way out of it.

I have already redone the Mini CNC machine to version 0.2 It is much more accurate and speedy. I will be releasing files as soon as the detalis are worked out.  I have to come up with a cool name.  So if you have any sugestions I'm open to them.

There is much more in the works.  Please hang on.

Clock works for future projects PDF Print E-mail

I have some ideas for "Kinetic Sculptures" for lack of a better term.   The first thing for these sculptures is that I don't want them to run on batteries or require a electric socket. Another requirement is that its based on weights not springs.  So for a proof of concept I went looking for a clock work escapement.  Of course there are lots of these.  So, since for some strange reason I have Lego's sitting around I tried to find Lego escapements to see if I could build one that worked.  Well I found multiple Lego clock references but most required parts I didn't have readily at hand.  Except for this one.  I had tried making my own and various other escapements I had found, so upon finding this one it was more incorporated into what I had started than copied one for one.  So here is what I ended up with.

I know, I know. I never finished the London Reports.  Really I do intend to get back to them.  This time I'm trying to go for the keeping up with the current trip.   So that brings us to the eminent road trip.  A week long pilgrimage to the Galileo telescope on display in Philadelphia at the Franklin Institute.

Yea I made it on BibliOdyssey.  My fungi prints are on this post about a third way down. I'm glad to be able to contribute.  I'm adding this site to my web links.  Now to find some time to get more scanned.

I have had these for a while.  I saw this post on BibliOdyssey that prompted me to get these scanned and posted.  I sent these directly to BibliOdyssey for their use but now they are posted for the rest of the world to use.
