I have some ideas for "Kinetic Sculptures" for lack of a better term. The first thing for these sculptures is that I don't want them to run on batteries or require a electric socket. Another requirement is that its based on weights not springs. So for a proof of concept I went looking for a clock work escapement. Of course there are lots of these. So, since for some strange reason I have Lego's sitting around I tried to find Lego escapements to see if I could build one that worked. Well I found multiple Lego clock references but most required parts I didn't have readily at hand. Except for this one. I had tried making my own and various other escapements I had found, so upon finding this one it was more incorporated into what I had started than copied one for one. So here is what I ended up with.

I know, I know. I never finished the London Reports. Really I do intend to get back to them. This time I'm trying to go for the keeping up with the current trip. So that brings us to the eminent road trip. A week long pilgrimage to the Galileo telescope on display in Philadelphia at the Franklin Institute.

Yea I made it on BibliOdyssey. My fungi prints are on this post about a third way down. I'm glad to be able to contribute. I'm adding this site to my web links. Now to find some time to get more scanned. |

I have had these for a while. I saw this post on BibliOdyssey that prompted me to get these scanned and posted. I sent these directly to BibliOdyssey for their use but now they are posted for the rest of the world to use. |

I'm changing the site up a bit. The latest site news is now just the latest news. I plan to use this for a place to put links to things I've read, seen, like, etc. Some may make the home page some may not. This way this section may get more use. |
